These insects complete from 2 to 10 generations per year depending on the weather conditions, in climates with water and food it can have several overlapping generations per year.
It causes great economic damage to fruit crops in Latin American countries.
Damages occur directly in the fruits by causing them to fall or damage them and indirectly, as the wounds caused are an entry point for pathogenic organisms.
