These insects complete between 2 and 10 generations per year depending on climatic conditions, in climates with water and food it can have several overlapping generations per year.
It causes great economic damage to fruit crops worldwide, although they are known as Mediterranean flies.
Damages occur directly in the fruits by causing them to fall or damage them and indirectly, as the wounds caused are an entry point for pathogenic organisms .
Trapped species: Ceratitis capitata (cosyra, rosa, malgassa); Bactrocera dorsalis; Bactrocera cucurbitae; Bactrocera zonata.
